Despite their award-winning services, their underwriting applications were outdated and riddled with accessibility issues. 40% of underwriter’s time are spent on administrative tasks. Common work-flows see underwriters engaging in manual data entry, paperwork, and repetitive tasks that waste both time and talent.
The existing underwriting applications present various challenges necessitating a comprehensive UX overhaul. These include unattractive user interfaces lacking visual appeal and clear hierarchy, coupled with navigation complexities arising from the absence of an organized repository. The product owner's specific request was to establish a consistent look and feel across all dashboards.
The absence of a structured visual hierarchy complicates user navigation, hindering the discernment of information importance and flow within the applications.
Monitor and uphold database infrastructure, employing diagnostics to promptly address any challenges.

The ongoing development with React and Power BI frameworks necessitates a cohesive design strategy to ensure consistency in look and feel across all dashboards.
The main objective of this initiative was to redesign Berkshire Hathaway's underwriting applications, aiming for a cohesive visual identity and user experience that aligns with the React, Power BI, and AG Grid frameworks. The project team comprised a project owner, project manager, and offshore developers, fostering collaboration through daily Agile stand-ups and communication via Microsoft Teams.
The central aim was to overhaul the underwriting application experience, introducing a user-friendly, visually appealing, and well-organized system. The overarching objective encompasses tackling design, hierarchy, application repository, and integration challenges, all while ensuring a uniform and cohesive look and feel across all dashboards.

For the minimum viable product (MVP), Weather and Stocks were selected due to the accessibility of their data, aligning with our commitment to delivering a feature-rich and user-friendly dashboard.
